Based in Denver and serving events across Colorado, we provide professional DJ, MC, sound, and lighting for weddings, corporate events, school dances, quinceañeras, mitzvahs, birthdays, baby raves, and private parties. Our approach is simple: plan carefully before the event, then read the room once the music starts.

A great DJ shouldn’t just press play on a predetermined playlist. Our DJs watch the dance floor, take requests, mix songs with seamless transitions, and adjust in real time. If one style is working, we lean into it. If the room needs a change, we make it before the dance floor empties. Every Moon Magnet DJ is also a confident, friendly MC. We can handle introductions, grand entrances, speeches, special dances, announcements, and other important moments while coordinating with your planner, photographer, caterer, venue, and other vendors behind the scenes.

You also have control over the music. Give us your must plays, your do not plays, and a few favorite artists, then let us take it from there. Or get much more specific. Our Online Music Planner helps organize the music for each part of your event, and we meet with you beforehand so everyone is on the same page.

Want something guests probably haven’t seen before? Moon Magnet offers a live accordion cocktail hour, with everything from Italian and French music to Irish tunes and Studio Ghibli favorites performed on a Monarch Alpine accordion. Live musicians can also be added to ceremonies and cocktail hours.

Professional sound, wireless microphones, and dance floor lighting are available, along with upgrades including atmospheric uplighting, a 16 inch Studio 54 style disco ball, enhanced subwoofers, haze, bubble machines, and foam glow sticks. We can scale the setup for everything from an intimate backyard party to a packed school dance or large reception.

Reliability matters just as much as the music. We arrive early, build a clean setup, run sound checks, dress appropriately, and carry general liability insurance. Our DJs are experienced and background checked.

You’ll also have direct access to Reed, Moon Magnet’s owner and director, throughout the planning process. You can call, text, or video chat when questions come up instead of getting passed between salespeople and coordinators.
