Hi I’m Brody

Queer Joy Photo is an LGBTQ+ affirming photography studio based in Centennial, Colorado, serving Denver and the surrounding communities. I photograph queer and trans individuals, couples, families, engagements, and intimate weddings and elopements. My sessions are calm, consent based, and built for people who have not always felt at home in traditional photography.

What You Can Expect from Me?

  • Gentle, Consent Based Sessions There is no pressure to perform, pose, or shrink yourself. I guide gently instead of directing forcefully, check in often, and adapt pacing, sensory needs, and communication for neurodivergent clients.

  • Two Decades of Experience I have been photographing people for more than two decades and hold a BFA in Photography from ArtCenter College of Design. I was mentored by photographers including Mary Ellen Mark in New York City.

  • Sessions for Every Kind of Life I offer headshots and personal branding, couples and engagement sessions, proposals, gender affirming wedding photo retakes, family sessions, and intimate weddings and love ceremonies, including poly and non monogamous relationships.

  • Every Image Is Yours Within three weeks you receive a complete online gallery that is thoughtfully edited. There are no selections, upsells, or additional purchases, and nothing is ever shared publicly without your clear yes.

  • Clear Session Options The Low-Key Session is a 20 minute outdoor session at Cherry Knolls Park with 15+ edited images. The Queer Joy Session offers up to an hour, multiple outfit changes, 100+ images, and Denver metro travel included.

Yes. You are welcome to bring someone who helps you feel more at ease. They can be present throughout the session or step in and out as needed.

Wear what helps you feel most like yourself. Clothes you have felt good in before, simple layers, and easy movement tend to work well. You are welcome to bring several options and we can decide together.

Yes, neurodivergence is fully welcome. We can talk ahead of time about pacing, sensory needs, and communication preferences, and sessions can be structured, flexible, quiet, or brief depending on what supports you best.

Absolutely. My favorite kind of wedding is a mellow backyard or elopement style wedding, but I am open to many kinds of queer love ceremonies and events. We can have a short chat first to see if we are a good fit for your day.

The Low-Key Session is $295 and the Queer Joy Session is $495. Intimate weddings and love ceremonies are custom priced.

I photograph LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and families, including headshots, personal branding, engagements, proposals, gender affirming wedding photo retakes, and intimate weddings and elopements.

Denver metro travel is included with the Queer Joy Session, so it can happen at a location of your choice. Low-Key Sessions take place at Cherry Knolls Park in Centennial.

Yes. Many of my sessions happen at home, which lets you choose outfits straight from your closet and feel relaxed in a familiar space.
